The Point

What's the point?  Ever Asked yourself "What's the point?" Well there's a new youth event starting in our neighbourhood that should help you find some answers.

Working together with St. Saviour's, Iford Baptist and St. Christopher's churches, 'The Point' is an evening of worship, teaching and creative ministry for 13-18 yr olds. It's an opportunity to meet together with other young people from the area, share stories of our faith and worship God.

The first night is Thursday March 13th at St. Christopher's Church, and it'll take place every other month from 7:30pm to about 9pm. As The Point develops, there'll be opportunity for local church youth groups to take part in the form of drama, dance, new media, music etc. The first evening will look at Jesus' resurrection and what makes it so special for us as Christians today.

Church Music

At St Christopher's we worship using a very wide range of traditional and modern music. A small choir leads our worship regularly in the morning and we are also building a team of instrumentalists who play at the major festivals such as Christmas a, Easter and Pentecost. Later this year we are beginning some youth orientated café services where the music and presentation will be much more contemporary.
