Summer Services & Events at St Christopher's Have a wonderful Summer and enjoy the best of the weather and all that God gives us in His creation 25th July 6pm Motiv8 Service This is our last evening service until the 5th September. The evening will have a time of praise and worship and focus on events happening during the summer including the trip to Romania. Do come along and enjoy cake and a cup of coffee before the service. All of the August Services will begin at 10am. The whole family are particularly welcome and on many Sundays there will be a Summer Special Event for children attending the service. August 1st We will welcome the Revd. David Auger from Iford Baptist church and our teaching throughout August will be the favourite psalms of various speakers and preachers. Tuesday August 10th Men's Group are going to be meeting at one of the Southbourne Beach huts for an evening swim. Watch the church news for the beach hut number and time. Wednesday 11th August 2 - 4:30pm The Great Afternoon Tea Party is happening at St Christopher's Church Grounds and Hall - If you would like join an afternoon of fun and hospitality and are of mature years why not come along and enjoy a traditional cream tea and choice of beverages together with entertainment and sing a long and a warm welcome. There is a Summer Bonnet competition on - so do remember to bring yours along. This is going to be a great time to have fellowship with many people. Helpers and Welcomers are asked to be at the church by 1pm, so that we can coordinate the traffic! If transport is needed the Bournemouth Council will run a vehicle to help. Full details and invitations can be downloaded from the attachment. 15th August In the morning service there will be an opportunity to pray for the team leaving the following week for Romania. Wednesday 18th August 10.30 am Morning Service with Communion This is the only midweek service we are holding during the holiday period 5th September Both morning and evening services are re-commenced. We will welcome back everyone who has been away on holiday. In the evening there will be a Motiv8 cafe service with a refreshments before at 6pm. Our thanks go to all who have generously given at the concert or the auction for the needs of the Romanian project when several of our young people will be going to take part. If you are still wishing to contribute to the Romania Trip please pick up an envelope in the Church Entrance Area or simply place your gift clearly marked Romania into the church offering. |
